That’s it all done, scores in, moving on. Almost survival of the fittest in avoiding COVID 19!
At CCW we have a massive amount of people doing the CF Open, 125 to be precise, we run a in-house competition aside the big show. We spilt our members doing it into 4 separate teams and may the the best team win.
.
This year our top dogs were the historical over achievers, the Elephants! But its more than just that, the individual performances that make an open can never be overlooked.

As a special part of the Open we always award MVP’s and Gutsiest Performers for each team, this is usually done at the End of Open party at Dakota accompanied by a $50 bar tab… This year it’s just all about the glory! Below are your 2022 winners. Congratulations!
.
2022 Birds
MVP – Sam Coventry – New draft pick for the birds in his first open this season. Came in to the team with big efforts, big t-shirts and big enthusiasm and encouragment every week. Sammy gearing up to spearhead the birds performance in the 2023 season
Gutsiest – Hannah McIntyre-Hill– Another new pick for the Birds Hannah brought some well needed CF experience the team and put some Mumma strength into her performances every week.
.
2022 Rabbits
MVP – Graeme Lawrance – The first person to do the workout each week and with a 1st, 2nd and a 5th to his name he did well. After each workout Graeme would dissect the workout and give tips to the entire Rabbits squad to help buoy morale and give our new Rabbits a steer in the right direction. Overwhelming from the get go.
Gutsiest – Amy Rossiter – Months into CrossFit and taking on every workout RX and outdoing herself every week, and absolute weapon of the Rabbits future, congratulations Amy on an amazing Open.
.
2022 Walrus
MVP – Jessica Young – She’s the silent assassin, approached every week with a cool calm demeanour, performed consistently well and was a pleasure to watch. Jess Young’s hard work in the open this year has won her a well-deserved Walrus MVP.
Gutsiest – Hannah Gross – Hannah wins Walrus gutsiest. The effort she gave each and every week was second to none. Going Rx each week and pushing her comfort levels whilst Getting a few PB’s in along the way. Well done Hannah!

2022 Champion Elephants
MVP – Nicholas Buck – Constantly at the top of the leader board every year and this year was no exception. Leading the way for the lads trying to keep up with the ladies
