COACH
I’ve played sports and been active most of my life. Before moving to NZ my sporting background was pretty varied having had stints playing hockey, football, volleyball, martial arts and even a few years in motorsports. I was a jack of all trades and a master of none. So when my hubby and I stumbled across CrossFit back in 2017 I thought finally here’s a true multi sport where I might find my place. And that’s exactly what happened.
I completed my CrossFit Level 1 early on as a foundation for learning the sport but quickly became interested in exploring the coaching side of things so completed my CrossFit Level 2 in 2021 along with a Level 1 certificate in Olympic Weightlifting.
I have over 10 years experience in the sports and fitness coaching arena. I’ve spent time as a Les Mills instructor and coach, a youth hockey coach and more recently in the last two years as a CrossFit coach.
By day I work as a Leader of Strategic Programme Management and Change in the Banking industry. For me CrossFit is an opportunity to switch gears and retain balance doing things that build me up outside of work, both as an athlete and a coach. There’s nothing I enjoy more than seeing people progress towards whatever their goals are, and it’s a privilege to support that in any way I can.
