Kia ora, I am Lyds! I started my CrossFit journey in 2020, and have never looked back on this community since. It took about a year to pluck up the courage to walk through CCW’s doors, and man I wish I had done it sooner. I came from a competitive running background, which gave me some base cardio fitness but made me terrified of a barbell let alone hanging from a gymnastics bar! Nowadays, you can find me with a barbell over my head or swinging from a bar most days of the week.
Coaching at CCW is an absolute pleasure, and there is nothing more I love than seeing someone smash their goals on that gym floor. I am a Registered Dietitian, and work at Wellington Hospital by day. It’s probably not that surprising, but I love sports nutrition and the impact kai can have on performance.
