I found CrossFit back in 2011 after hanging up my roller skates (yes, you read right) after 16 years years competing internationally in Artistic Roller Skating and coaching a number of skaters to National and International Championships.
After moving to Wellington, I eventually arrived at the doors of CrossFit Central Wellington, finding a phenomenal Community that continues to evolve and my now husband! During the day I balance being a Mum and working at the Commerce Commission, I also help with a bit of the back end stuff at CCW (mostly cleaning related) and run FxD – a small CrossFit accessories online store.
I am very early on in my CrossFit Coaching journey and feel very privileged to be surrounded by such a talented bunch of Coaches at CCW. I am also currently competing the Pregnancy and Postpartum Atheticism Coaching course, something I feel truely passionate about following my own pregnancy and now postpartum journey. I can’t wait to share my learnings with our members.
To me being a CrossFit coach is more than just a squat position or getting a pull up, it’s getting to know members to understand why they are really there, and tailoring their experience to their needs.
